| Warriors of the Lake follows the book system closely when it comes to Ranks. Simply put, this means there isn't many. Which means each one takes just that little bit more to get to. Here is a list of the complete rank system from Highest to Lowest.Leader Medicine Cat Deputy Medicine Cat Apprentice Elder Queen Injured Senior Warrior Warrior New Warrior Apprentice Kit
Some of you may have noticed that Elder and Queen are quite close to the top. This is because they are both ranks of actual importance. Elders remember the past and have knowledge beyond what a Top Warrior would due to their age. Their wisdom is not something to underestimate or take for granted. Queens, of course, are the mothers of the next generation and as a result take on a higher rank while nursing their young. Injured is a Rank specific to cats who have not followed all the steps to becoming an elder but needed to retire early due to injury. They are still at the top when it comes to prey and care, but they do not have the knowledge proper elders do. So how do you gain these ranks? Well, for Leader, Medicine Cat, Deputy, and Medicine Cat Apprentice, it's a case of activity level and performance. The rest can be gained through a simple list of requirements. Most of these can be knocked off together. Medicine Cat and Medicine Cat Apprentices count seperately, so threads where there is both of them will knock off 2 of the MC/MCA interactions. I realise that these lists look daunting, but remember that most of these can be done together in only a few threads.
For now: Some of these requirements will be waived as the site is newly launched, and we don't have official leaders or MC's. Be aware however that the ones crossed out will come. | Rolls The amount of rolls performed in each battle depends on your rank and your activity levels (see below for gaining additional rolls). In order to keep battle posts simple and to the point, if you have a rank or character that is able to use more than 6 rolls, you may choose to roll multiple dice at once. Your opponent, once this is done, must roll the same amount of dice to keep things fair.
Rank | Min. Rolls | Max. Rolls | Leader | 16
| 20
| Medicine Cat | 14
| 20
| Deputy | 13
| 16
| Medicine Cat Apprentice | 12
| 15
| Elder | 6
| 9
| Queen | 6
| 9
| Injured | 3
| 6
| Senior Warrior | 9
| 11
| Warrior | 7
| 9
| New Warrior | 5
| 7
| Apprentice | 3
| 6
| Kit | 1
| 3
|
Additional Requirements:
To gain extra rolls throughout your ranks, the requirements stay roughly the same through all the ranks except for what was noted above in the ranks section. Simply:
See the Medicine Cat/Medicine Cat Apprentice 2 times Complete 2 herb patrols. Complete 2 hunting patrols.
Each time you complete all of these tasks, you gain +1 combat rolls, stacking until you hit the maximum amount. Furthermore, all rolls stacked you keep, even as you rank up. This means if you are an apprentice, and you have worked to gain 3 extra combat rolls, you will keep those as a new warrior and start with 15 energy instead of the base 12.
